Main changes in Aqua3D from versions 6.1 to 7.0
- Faster compiler to decrease calculation time
- Better error checking
- Changes so the program works better in Windows 2000 and XP
Main changes in Aqua3D from version 6.0 to 6.1
- Utility to create time dependent boundary files (binary files) from ASCII file information
- Form of the source file has been changed. In connection with that a program to convert source files from version 6.0 or older to the new form
- Changes in the flow part concerning minimum thickness allowed for calculating transmissivity and storativity
- A small millennium bug fixed
Main changes in Aqua3D from version 4.5 to 6.0
- Utility to create time dependent boundary files (binary files) from ASCII file information
- Possibility to save time-series plot configuration
- Improvements in drawing shading contours
- Bugs that were in the program for transferring date over to Surfer form have been fixed
- Utility to create blanking file for Surfer from the boundary file for AQUA3D
- New and more powerful compiler used; that takes advantage of the different Pentium chips. The run time should decrease for most problems by a factor around 2
- Bugs fixed that were in the time-series plot
- Bugs fixed that were in converting files from binary to ASCII
Main changes in Aqua3D from version 4.0 to 4.5
- Utility to transfer results from AQUA3D over to Surfer form
- Some minor changes in solving the flow equation and other small corrections
Main changes in Aqua3D from version 3.4 to 4.0
- New Lahey Fortran compiler, version 4.0 used instead of version 2.0 which enables the program to run faster
- Possibility to change scale useful if there are large difference in X and Y coordinates
- Cross section feature in the areal data editor, which enables the user to view any areal parameter in a cross section through all layers
- Under the utility button on the main tool bar is a new feature, to store necessary files for future use
- Under the view button on the main tool bar is a new feature to open a window to examine all areal values in a particular element
- Improvements of the contouring routine in the output part
- The whole manual is available through the Help
- Some minor changes in solving the flow equation
Main changes in AquaSea from version 7.1 to 7.2
- Utility to create time dependent boundary files (binary files) from ASCII file information have been changed and made easier to use (refer README.DOC)
- Form of the source file has been changed. In connection with that a program to convert source files from version 7.1 or older to the new form
Main changes in Aquasea from version 7.0 to 7.1
- Utility to create time dependent boundary files (binary files) from ASCII file information have been changed and made easier to use (refer README.DOC)
- Bugs fixed that concerned time dependent wind file and converting time series files to ASCII form, as well as other minor items corrected
- The transport part of the program changed, a minor correction which pertains to concentration in areas where wetting and drying takes place
- Chapter 7 of the help rebuild
- In the Utility for moving one area parameter over to another using the non linear transformation, if the parameter that is to be moved is negative then no transformation is done. This can occur when depth is transferred over to Chezy coefficient, if depth has been defined negative
Main changes in Aquasea from version 6.0 to 7.0
- Utility to create time dependent boundary files (binary files) from ASCII file information
- Possibility to save time-series plot configuration
- The wind file and file for time varying decay are now read with free format (comma or space separated. The same goes for definition of path line nodes (file PLNODES.DAT)
- Improvements in drawing shading contours
- Bugs that were in the program for transferring date over to Surfer form have been fixed
- Utility to create blanking file for Surfer from the boundary file for AQUASEA
- New and more powerful compiler used, that takes advantage of the different Pentium chips
- Bugs fixed that were in the time-series plot
- Bugs fixed that were in converting files from binary to ASCII
Main changes in Aquasea from version 5.0 to 6.0
- Utility to transfer results from AQUASEA over to Surfer form
- Changing of the transport equation, which allows for solving sediment transport
- Full new manual available from the Help option
- Calculation and output of bottom shear stress in flow equation
- Possibility to take into account effect of waves on the bottom shear stress. To do so the user must contact Vatnaskil Consulting Engineers for further information. ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). This might require programming depending on the wave model used
- Some minor changes in solving the flow equation and other small corrections
